RICH2FIRE CORE TOOL · REVIEW THE FIT

Keep the plan. Reconsider the fit.

Your FIRE path can stay useful while your money, energy, responsibilities or priorities change. This review makes room for all of those changes—ordinary, difficult or welcome.

  • Optional questions
  • Local-first saving
  • No single readiness score
  • Earlier Calm Planner baselines can carry forward

A quiet starting point

You do not need to solve your whole plan today.

Calibration is a gentle review beside the Five FIRE Paths. It helps you notice what still fits, what changed, and what might deserve a small experiment.

No scoreThere is no pass, fail, streak, or deadline.
No accountYour pause point stays in this browser.
No story requiredChoose broad context, skip a section, or leave whenever you want.

No saved baseline was found. That is completely fine—you can begin undecided and add numbers later only if they help.Or compare the Five FIRE Paths first

The complete review moves through one small section at a time. Every section can be skipped, and the result keeps four separate signals instead of combining them into one score.

MODEL & DATA CARD

How this review turns answers into a snapshot.

What this reflection can answerSeparates a FIRE-plan review into numbers, daily capacity, meaning and resilience, then helps the user name one next decision. It does not score readiness, predict an outcome or diagnose distress.

01

How responses become signals

Each optional answer is kept as its own signal: still fits, deserves review, needs change or skipped. Signals are never weighted or added into a total. Suggested experiments are simple mappings from the selected signals, not statistical recommendations. A snapshot and any Five Paths baseline update require separate, explicit actions.

02

Inputs and local data

The tool uses only the baseline already stored on the device and the user’s current selections. It has no external dataset or live feed. CFPB goal-revision guidance, Investor.gov planning guidance and peer-reviewed goal-adjustment research inform the questions, but this exact reflection has not been validated as a psychometric or financial-suitability instrument.

03

Implementation checks

Every question can be skipped; no answer silently changes another signal. Saved research-safe history excludes exact financial amounts, while changing the formal Five Paths baseline requires a second confirmation. Automated tests cover migration, sanitisation, record limits, deletion and explicit baseline merging.

04

Limits and non-goals

Answers are self-reports from one moment and can change with mood, information and circumstances. The tool does not test portfolio sustainability, tax, insurance, legal needs, medical risk or mental health. A major or irreversible decision may require time, updated facts and qualified local support; choosing to pause is a valid result.

Validation status

Automated tests check the software’s mappings, storage boundaries and confirmation steps. They do not show that the questions measure a psychological construct, improve decisions or produce better FIRE outcomes.

EVIDENCE SNAPSHOT

What this tool is built on.

FIRE Calibration. A gentle, local-first reflection for reviewing whether a FIRE plan still fits across numbers, capacity, meaning and resilience without a pass-or-fail score.

This is implementation evidence, not professional certification. Assumptions and limits matter more than a badge. Correction policy.
