TOOL METHODOLOGY

Every useful output should have a visible method behind it.

This registry explains what kind of evidence each Rich2Fire tool uses, how versions change and what a review date actually means.

What this registry can—and cannot—show

The registry identifies each tool’s model class, current version, latest review and data freshness. It makes errors easier to find and old results easier to interpret; it is not professional certification and does not turn an educational model into personal advice.

Evidence boundaries for reflection tools

A structured reflection is not a validated questionnaire, and implementation-tested is not the same as outcome-validated. External references provide context for prompts and limitations; they do not endorse Rich2Fire. FIRE Calibration separately publishes the status of external expert review, psychometric validation and outcome validation, and says plainly when each has not been completed.

How versions change

A formula, rate, default, dataset or material transformation that can change the result for the same inputs triggers a model-version update. Spelling, layout, accessibility, search metadata and explanatory copy that does not change results normally do not, although material transparency changes still appear in the changelog.

A review date is not a live-data promise

‘Last reviewed’ means the implementation and public explanation were checked on that date. Policy and market data can change afterward; policy presets and fixed historical series therefore carry a separate freshness label. Tax tools in particular require rechecking the linked primary sources before action.

How to cite a tool

Every tool ends with a copyable citation containing the organization, tool name, model version, review date and stable URL. If a tool offers a reproducible link or export, preserve it too; otherwise record the access date, material assumptions and version you used.
